Donna Shirey takes us on a tour of her Zero Energy Idea House, featuring solar panels, solar hot water, a living roof, radiant floor heat and so much more. The exquisite design of this home is eclipsed by only one thing, the energy this home is saving and generating.

Jason Lear shows one of his eco-remodeling projects where a concrete foundation is poured into a new kind of form made out of Polystyrene foam. A foam is used upstairs as well. This expanding spray foam insulation is applied to the interior surface of all the exterior walls. The balloon framing of this aging house makes expanding foam the perfect choice for insulation.
